Blog Redesign #10624

I was joking to a coworker the other night that I probably change themes more than I post. Of course I immediately go change themes again. I now have something that I’m really happy with.

I’m using TwentyEleven as my theme and the Custom Design upgrade available on WordPress.com. The fonts I’m using are Coquette for the site title, Calluna for the headings, and Calluna Sans for the body text. I’m using a modified version of Daryl Koopersmith’s Hum child theme. The background image is made by my brilliant friend Keith Frank :D from my previous theme Modularity Lite.

Walking for WordPress

I participated in the Worldwide WordPress 5k. I didn’t do anything crazy like breakdancing but I took a nice hike with my family. We went to a trail at a local park.

Consider going out for a walk today. Get some fresh air, stretch your legs, and enjoy nature.

New Features: Better Tagging with P2 (via WordPress.com News)

Just launched some new features on WordPress.com! If you have any feedback or suggestions feel free to leave them on the original post.

Better Tagging with P2 When we originally released P2 our mission was to create an awesome feature-packed group blog theme. We have stayed true to that mission with new improvements to P2 functionality that will make collaborating with others much easier. P2 now sports a site member autocomplete tool that takes the guesswork out of tagging people in your posts. P2 will also now display the most popular tags for a blog as well as the number of times a tag has been used. … Read More

I’m an Automattician

I’m going into my third week so I’m a little bit behind with this post, but I would still like to make a real announcement:

I am a full time Code Wrangler at Automattic, Inc!

Everyone here is super-cool, talented and extremely pleasant to work with. I’m coming in already having met and worked with a few other Automatticans  (during my two Google Summer of Code projects and at WordCamps) so it’s great to be able to continue those relationships.

In addition to my new awesome co-workers: I get to work on a platform that I love, I get to be avaiable for speaking opportunities at WordCamps and other conferences and I get to be more involved with the WordPress community as a whole. To put it bluntly, this is a dream job come true.

Thanks to everyone over the years that have made this possible! I  am very excited to see what the future holds for me here.
